Leader, Peter Guthrie, Meets Albertans Around the Province

Peter Guthrie speaking with Albertans at a community event With summer festivals in full swing, Honourable Peter Guthrie, Leader of the Tory Party and MLA for Airdrie-Cochrane, has flipped pancakes, shaken hands, and enjoyed the company of Albertans from around the province. Guthrie is taking the opportunity to introduce the Progressive Tory Party of Alberta to Albertans and the response has been enthusiastic.

“People are telling me they’ve felt they no longer have a political home. They are eager to have a fiscally conservative, socially progressive place to put their vote. Bottom line is people are tired of the chaotic, costly and inconsistent decisions we’re seeing. People are relieved to learn there’s a future for Alberta with an ethical government making evidence-based decisions.”

At the halfway point of the summer, we’ve seen Guthrie at graduation ceremonies, numerous pancake breakfasts, festivals and outdoor celebrations of all kinds. The mileage is adding up, with appearances from Grande Prairie through to Medicine Hat and a long list of communities in between.

The Progressive Tory Party of Alberta has hosted some of the events with packed rooms of people wanting to learn what the party has to offer.

Guthrie offers a clear vision for good government in Alberta, emphasizing the need for restoring trust with voters through practical leadership and sensible, evidence-based decisions.

As the new party shapes policies and identifies a full slate of candidates for 2027, the summer of meeting and listening to Albertans will only build the party’s momentum.
