Exciting news Party Members!
The Provincial Board has been working on amendments to the 2018 Alberta Party Constitution (including the appendix Constituency Association Constitution) and 2015 Bylaws. The existing governing documents are in effect until the membership votes on the Board approved amendments.
The Board has passed a motion to hold a Special General Meeting (SGM) of the Party Membership on November 25th, 2026 to consider these proposed amendments, attached as Progressive Tory Party Constitution, Constituency Association Constitution (appendix to the Party Constitution) and Progressive Tory Party Bylaws. This SGM will be held in a virtual format starting at 7:00 pm.
Once the proposed 2026 constitution and by-laws are ratified, amendments to the 2026 governing documents can be submitted for consideration in advance of the next Annual General Meeting, which as per the proposed 2026 constitution, must be held before May 2027.
Registration details and process for the SGM will be provided in the coming days. As per the existing Party Constitution, Members must have a membership in good standing ten (10) days prior to the SGM.
