Bonnie Critchley, Hot Off Campaign Trail, Steps Up as a Candidate for the Progressive Tory Party of Alberta

Having made a name for herself as an honest, compassionate, common sense candidate in the 2025 Battle River-Crowfoot Federal by-election, Bonnie Critchley has joined the Progressive Tory party.

Bonnie Critchley, prospective Tory Party candidate for CamroseBonnie intends to be the candidate for the Camrose riding. As a self-described centrist with right leanings, Bonnie was inspired to put her name forward because of her concern for undemocratic decisions by the current provincial government. For Critchley, the Progressive Tory Party of Alberta making accountability its number one priority when it forms government convinced her to stand up.

“I announced my move to provincial politics because of the UCP’s abuse of power, the removing of more and more rights, as well as the selling out of Alberta to their friends. It’s unconscionable and I can’t sit and watch. I’m going to fight for Albertans’ rights with the Progressive Tory Party of Alberta,” proclaimed Critchley.

Critchley is inspired by Bill 1: Accountability and Transparency Act identified by the Tory Party as its first order of business when it forms government. Critchley says she’s ready to bring principled, democratic, progressive conservative values to Alberta’s government by representing her constituents in Camrose.

Honourable Peter Guthrie, MLA and Tory Party Leader remarked, “Bonnie Critchley has an impressive record of service to Canadians, with 22 years in the Canadian Army, served in Afghanistan and was one of the first women in the combat arms in her unit. Throughout her life she’s served others and consistently stood up for human rights. She’s made a huge contribution to Canada, to Alberta and now for Albertans as part of the Tory Party. We will be a better party for her role in it.”

Under Guthrie’s leadership, Critchley will be a top candidate for the party having earned a considerable following for her service and consistent, ethical and compassionate stance on public issues.
